In October 2020 he joined in signing a letter stating: “Given his astonishing success in his first term, we believe that Donald Trump is the candidate most likely to foster the promise and prosperity of America.”

    Alright then.

Oh he’s the one who recommended a grad student to Epstien because she was a “v[ery] small goodlooking blonde”. Apparently he also opposes women in the workforce.

I feel little sympathy for him

A conservative Republican misogynist climate-denying creationist Jew was a client of Jeffery Epstein???

    It boggles the mind.

I think, if you swapped the word “Jew” with “Zionist”, your point might be clearer.

        Indeed

        But

Israel and the IDF (shittiest band name ever, period) are making it really REALY hard not to do that.b

I’d say it would be extremely helpful for all Jews world wide if Israel would just stop murdering babies in the biggest genocide since WWII

No, they aren’t. It’s extremely easy to separate the actions of the Israeli state from the beliefs and moral worth of the Jewish people. A great way to start is by actually talking to Jews, you will find that many are incredibly disenfranchised by Israel’s actions. Sure, some support the IDF, but so do many American Christians, so you can’t exactly draw conclusions from that.

I mean, ISIS and the taliban were/are pretty horrific, but that’s not an excuse to be shitty to Muslims. This really isn’t different enough to matter. They aren’t shit because they’re Jewish, they’re shit and happen to be Jewish.

Israel and the IDF (shittiest band name ever, period) are making it really REALY hard not to do tha

Only if you consider anything they say to be true, which you shouldn’t.

Pretending that Israel is accurately representative of all Jews is itself an antisemitic trope, no matter how many Zionists in and outside of Israel subscribe to it, and we’d do well to not fall for the “some Jews think it’s true, so it must be” trap of Zionist Hasbara.

I’d say it would be extremely helpful for all Jews world wide if Israel would just stop murdering babies in the biggest genocide since WWII

ABSOLUTELY. Until then, though, it behooves us to believe nothing Hasbarists say and remember that there’s a lot of anti- or at least non-zionist Jews who don’t deserve to be lumped in with the genocidal maniacs and their fan club.

Or, to be more blunt; shut the fuck up with this anti-semitic bullshit.

If a person is active lobbying for Israel, or working as on behalf of that or any other terror state, that’s legitimate points of criticism. Pointing towards someone being Jewish as some ground of suspicion in its own right is dangerous bullshit of historical proportions. There’s no reason we should tolerate this shit.

But even if they’re lobbying for Israel the criticism would not be that they’re a Jew but rather what they’re lobbying for (and the same applies to lobbyist for most countries/companies too…)

I’m not the OC, but I definitely have a strong Christian bias when I hear that someone’s a creationist. I would almost certainly assume they were a baptist or Pentecostal if it wasn’t specified. It doesn’t matter, but it removes the potential excuse that it’s just the culture he grew up in.

Though now I have to look up Jewish creationism to see if I was very wrong.

Edit: it’s kind of what I suspected- there are Jewish creationists, but it’s not nearly as common, and there are a lot more options for reconciling two seemingly incompatible beliefs within the framework of Judaism.
